Founded in 1939 by Thomas Charles Morris, T.C. Morris has remained a proud family-run business for generations.

1912 - Humble Beginnings
Thomas Charles Morris (Charlie) was born in 1912. At the age of ten, Charlie loses his father and brother to Spanish Flu. Struggling to cope, his mother sends Charlie away to a family in the West Midlands, they have a pig farm, and he learns a trade.

1920-30s - Butchery
Understanding pig farming and pork butchery, Charlie works in a butcher's shop in Willenhall Marketplace. He meets his wife Lily Plackett while working behind the counter.

1930-40s - Building a family business
Together, Charlie and Lily brought their first butcher's shop in 1939. Over the years they expanded the business, collecting over 7 different butchers’ shops in the area, including the shop in which they met.

1950s - Next Generation
Charlie's two sons, John and Michael Morris entered the business in the 1950 and T.C. Morris was incorporated in 1956.
Eventually, the next generation take on the reins.

1960s - Manufacturing
Predicting the decline of the traditional butcher's shop, John and Michael sold the retail outlets to concentrate resources on manufacturing. A factory on Walsall Street, Willenhall was purchased.

1990s - Specialisation
The decision was made by John and Michael to solely concentrate on the production of a range of quality pork pie products.

2010 - Third Generation
Michael’s daughter Charlotte Tennant (nee Morris) joins the business in 2010 bringing a legal and corporate FMG background.
Charlotte purchased the business in 2016 and began a substantial new era of growth.

2019 - Allan Jones
Allan Jones joined T.C. Morris, bringing over 30 years of industry experience. Allan was appointed Managing Director in 2024.

2024 - New Premises
In 2024 the business moved premises to a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Dudley. Employing over 50 people from the local area, many of whom are highly skilled in their craft.

Today
The business continues to expand it’s range and now offers pastry, sausage rolls, pasty’s and scotch eggs – as well as a vast range of traditional high quality pork pies.

The Future
We are immensely proud of our heritage and incredible excited about our future. Over 80 years of pie making in the heart of the black country – we welcome the next 80 years to come!
